Third place:
The happiness that drops off this piece is just great! I feel like i look at a new Moomins kids book with new illustrations :> The colors scheme is on a perfect scale and the characters them self are just simple and adorable! ( look at them Hattifattener and Little My geeeez ). Wonderful style!

Second place:
Just like the artist wrote, Trauma. Trauma everywhere.
The Groke didn't have much of a screen time but it did enough to our heads... and this pictures just prove it~
The face of terrified Moomin, not even looking behind his back but just sensing something bad is there, is priceless~ I love how the Groke blends so well with the forest, making her eyes and mouth pop out even more! The whole atmosphere is on the right level with the dead trees and black branches. The canvas texture really add up in this one as it is mostly visually on the light parts ( Moomin and the lamp ), making it more interesting.

First place:
Not gonna lie, the first thing that popped in my mind before even looking at the artist's page or anything is that it is made by a Russian artist.
I grew up watching any kind of cartoons in any channel and i always came back to the beautiful artistic russian cartoons :> They put SO MUCH into it and this is what the artist just did in here!
Moomin and Snork Maiden ( and the rest ) just LOOK like they are about to move, just like in those old cartoons ahhhh <3
This dark-light fantasy atmosphere, where you are not sure what is about to happen next is what made the Moomins to what it was.
All the little details you put in to are wonderful:
The light on Little My's face, The Snork looking at the light, Bob playing with scared Sniff's tail, Snufkin's little smirk... .... and that snail.......
I would totaly buy such a beautiful piece~
